Microsoft Fitout
Project Description:
An award winning fitout project for a high profile client, that demanded great attention to detail for both mechanical and electrical services.
The lighting design for this project provided us the opportunity to implement our strong belief that lighting is far more than a technical exercise, and that it can and should be used to enhance architectural design.
Lighting was used in the following ways:
-
to emphasise the long, curving walls used in the Architect’s fitout design
-
to act as a cue for traffic flow within the public areas of the tenancy
-
to create a welcoming and stimulating Reception area
-
to provide users with an abilityto alter lighting to suit room usage
-
to complement the AV system in Training Rooms
In the training rooms lighting was controlled by a Dynalite system with pre programmed lighting scenarios, and linked to the AV system for these areas. The base building T5 light fittings were removed from the training rooms and replaced with the same type of fittings fitted with electronic ballasts suitable for dimming. The surplus of fittings created was able to be used in the back of house office areas.
